NWOPA Option Sheet Submission Guidelines

Purpose:
NWOPA offers its members the opportunity to showcase their mineral properties available for option on the NWOPA website and at events. This allows potential optionees to browse available properties while providing exposure to prospectors.

Eligibility

Membership Requirement:
  • Only NWOPA members in good standing are eligible to submit option sheets.
  • Membership status will be verified before any submission is accepted.

Submission Requirements

All submissions must adhere to the following guidelines to be accepted for posting and distribution:
A. Option Sheet Format:
  • Length: Maximum of 2 pages of 81/2" by 11" paper size.
  • Template: Use the NWOPA recommended Option Sheet Template as a guide for recommended materials to include.
  • Commodity in Title: The commodity type (e.g., Gold, Lithium, Copper) must be included in the title of the option sheet.
    • Example: Gold – West Dogpaw Property Option Sheet
B. Recommended Content:
NWOPA members are given freedom to design the option sheet. The following is recommended to be included for clarity of the property.
  • Brief Property Overview: Including location, area, commodity, and access.
  • Geological Summary: Highlighting key geological features and mineralization.
  • Exploration History: A concise summary of past exploration and notable results.
  • Current Program & Recommendations: Recent work and future exploration plans.
  • Contact Information: Member contact details.
C. Inclusion of maps are strongly encouraged:
A location map should be included to illustrate the property's proximity to infrastructure, cities, and towns. An inset map showing its position within Canada is also required.

Additionally, it is recommended to include supplementary maps, such as regional geology, property geology, geophysical surveys, or any other maps that emphasize the project's prospectivity.

Distribution, Usage, Disclaimer & Liability

Website Posting:
  • Submitted option sheets will be posted on the NWOPA website for potential optionees to browse. To ensure fairness and transparency, NWOPA will accept option sheet submissions on a first-come, first-served basis for active NWOPA members. This approach prevents any perception of favoritism and ensures that all members have equal access to having their properties showcased.
Event Distribution:
  • NWOPA directors will distribute the option sheets at local and national events, conferences, and industry meetings but are not obligated to promote any specific property directly. Their role is to facilitate exposure for all listed properties in a neutral and professional manner.
Consent for Distribution:
  • By submitting an option sheet, members consent to NWOPA distributing their materials both online and in print.
Member Responsibility:
  • NWOPA will not verify the accuracy or validity of any geological data or information in submitted option sheets.
  • Members are solely responsible for the content they provide.
    • Public Disclosure:
      • Members must understand that the information submitted will be publicly available and accessible to potential optionees and event attendees.
