2025 ANNUAL NW TRAPPERS CONVENTION – THUNDER BAY
The NW Trappers Convention took place on February 28 & March 1 at the CLE Coliseum in Thunder Bay. The convention promotes education, awareness and management practices of the fur industry and is attended by trappers, hunters, fishermen, and other outdoor enthusiasts from the local area as well as northwestern Ontario. There are many different displays hosted by vendors & businesses and government & associations. This year NWOPA only participated in the event on Saturday due to an Alberta Clipper going through the area on Friday. Questions at our booth range from rocks and minerals to mining and exploration in NW Ontario. The gold covered Easter eggs and tumbled amethyst are always a big hit with both young and old. Thanks are given to NWOPA members Paul N. and Mike B. for assisting at this year’s booth.
