2023 ANNUAL NW TRAPPERS CONVENTION – THUNDER BAY
After a three year absence due to the pandemic NWOPA participated in the NW Trappers Convention held on March 3 & 4 in the Coliseum Building at the Canadian Lakehead Exhibition (CLE) in Thunder Bay. The convention promotes education, awareness and management practices of the fur industry and was attended by trappers, hunters, fishermen, and other outdoor enthusiasts from the local area as well as northwestern Ontario. There are a variety of displays, demonstrations, and raffles. Numerous inquiries were received at our booth about local mining and exploration activities. The rock & mineral samples displayed at the NWOPA booth continuously draws interest and questions from convention attendees.
